Fito is a highly experienced lawyer with more than 28 years of international legal experience across Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe. He specialises in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, intellectual property, technology law, employment law, and litigation, advising businesses, financial institutions, investors, and entrepreneurs on complex and high-value legal and commercial matters.

Fito is widely recognised for combining top-tier legal expertise with strong commercial insight, assisting clients to navigate legal complexity while achieving practical, strategic business outcomes. His practice spans a broad range of matters including corporate governance, commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection and commercialisation, technology-related matters, and dispute resolution.

In the area of employment law, Fito advises employers, executives, and businesses on workplace relations, employment contracts, executive service agreements, workplace policies, disciplinary matters, terminations, redundancy processes, restraint of trade provisions, workplace investigations, and employment-related disputes. His extensive in-house experience enables him to deliver practical, commercially focused advice that balances legal compliance with effective workforce management.

Fito also brings significant experience in banking and finance law, including capital markets, structured finance, derivatives, and lending transactions. In the technology sector, he advises innovative and growth-focused businesses on digital transformation, data governance, software and technology agreements, and emerging regulatory issues. He also represents clients in complex commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, and intellectual property matters.

His distinguished career includes senior roles at the Magic Circle firm Linklaters, nine years as Head of Legal (Americas) at BBVA, and senior legal positions with BNP Paribas and Mizuho International in London.

In addition to his legal practice, Fito is the founder of RegBot, an award-winning FinTech company recognised in the Global RegTech 100 and featured in The Economist.
